ok thanks everyone but i didn't get the neon so....thanks i had a neon before and i heard that if there was a recall and you got the headgasket done yourself then they would send a refund check if you wrote to them but nevermind thatnks.

shit, we would have had SOOO many customers get a check if that was true....
i havent done one in a long time, they either blew up from loss of oil, or have been replaced with the MLS one.
you can tell the difference (and whether or not it has been replaced or not) by looking up from undernieth the car, look at where the head and block meet. if you can see (with a streamlight pocket LED light, only true playas keep one in pocket for this
) what appears to be a small (1/4" around) brass grommet, then it has the new style head gasket.
of course, if you look under it and its shooting you in the eye, its a safe assumption that the HG is leaking
or someone broke the OPS.
the headset comes with a new seal for the CMP, so that fucking shitcan is fixed too...
i have lost count of how many of those i have done in the last five years.....but it is a safe assumption it is over 50. got to where i could do a SOHC in about three hours....and that was with fuck off breaks in there so i could read some pron....
