B16B (JDM) to high of compression to boost!
Just to be cheap go with B16A2 boosting. B18B1 boosting cheaper.

LS/VTEC boost $$$
B20/VTEC BOOST $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If I am boosting do I need vtec at all? Doesn't Vtec tend to cause play in the turbo or something of the sorts?

NO really, boosting is boosting. VTEC will just give you that top end power

my .02.... build a ls motor, then boost. you can reach 11's.
