Opinions Please
So im about to buy my first bike and need some advice.
I have two bikes im looking at, both in the 4k price range.
Im 6'3, 230 lbs. the two bikes are...
A 1999 Gsxr Srad 750, 16k miles, new clutch, recent tune up, a little paint damage on one fairing.
or
A 1999 Cbr 600, 14k miles, said to run good.
Im looking for something fun to ride on the street, not do anything stupid, not for track days or anything. Just something to learn on. Because im a little bigger of a guy, and dont plan on doing stupid crap, I dont think the 750 would kill me compared to a 600. So based on the bikes, which would you recomend. Also, the gsxr is fuel injected right? What about the cbr?
Thanks!

Re: Opinions Please
yeah man, do some more searching, niether one of those is really worth 4 g's. it amazes me what people pay for bikes these days. i've seen people trying to sell '04 busa's for over $13,000!!! wtf?
you should be able to come up with a post-srad gixxer or a later cbr for $4,000.
not long ago i went to look at a cbr600 of about the same year (don't remember exactly) and he picked it up for $2500, and it was clean, ran well, just needed a battery.

Re: Opinions Please
It bugs me when sellers tell you they're firm on the price because it will sell for 1-2k more this spring. Seriously, if you want to sell then sell it to someone who is not lowballing and has cash in hand right now and be done with it. Some guy on craigslist has been trying to sell a big dog chopper for forever it seems and he's lowered it to 16k, but he claims it's going up to 20k in the spring.
