Default o2 sensors

I got a 2000 chevy cavalier. Everything done to it is body work. The only motor modifications are headers, catback exhaust, and cai. My check engine light came on. I took it to autozone and the guy told me it was the o2 sensors. Someone told me I need to get a simulator because the o2 sensor after the cat isnt reading right. Any help on how to get this light to shut off?

If you do a search on like google/yahoo etc for 02 sims/simulators you will probably be able to find one for your app...I know a friend of mine that had to get one for his ride. Good luck

your car should have 2 o2 sensors. one that is/was in the manifold/header near the head and one after the catalytic coverter. do you have an o2 sensor in your header? how about in the exhaust after the cat or in the cat? if one is disconnected or removed then thats why you have a cel. if you have a cat in your exhaust then you should be able to hook up both o2 sensors and everything would be fine. if you still cant figure this out then i can take care of it for you
