Default O2 sensor wiring, and airbag light

Where can I get wire to extend my O2 sensor, is it just wire, or something more specific, such as the gauge? Im not on the up and up on electrical things. Also, my airbag light is on, but was also on on my last civic, which i wrecked, and the airbags deployed. is it supposed to be on, then? i would assume not, but they worked. fill me in, please.

The SRS light you mean? Possibly the plug isn't plugged in on the back of the cluster. I would check that first. As for the o2 sensor extender...just buy some wire from the hardware store close to the gauge of the stock o2 sensor wire.

It's best to keep your O2 sensor shielded if your stock sensor is shielded. If you're only extending a few inches at the ECU or at the engine side plug, don't worry about it, but any longer and you should redo the cable with shielded wire. O2 sensor noise pickup shouldn't cause any problems, but it could.. ECUs tend to average a signal over a couple samples, but add-on A/F meters won't usually, so you may get a lot of jitter if you have one.
