No heat!!!
Well about two weeks ago the blower motor in my dads truck started squeeling. No problems, we replaced it. Well this past week he tried to use the heat and was only getting cold air. We replaced the thermostat and thought that would be the end of it but still no heat. The only other thing I can think of would be the heater core. Its blowing fine just cold air. Anyone have any ideas?
truck=what kind?
if its an S10 or blazer, pull the heater core hoses off, and flush the heater core. i have done six of them this season so far....
basically, feel the hoses at the heater core. if one is hot, the other is cold, you are not having flow (restriction in core) if both are hot, one is warmer then the other, the core is working fine, there is a temp. blend door issue. if both are cold, then you have no circulation to the heater core (air pocket or no flow)

Its in a Ranger 2.3L. I never really thought about feelin the hoses. That makes since, its what you do to the radiator hoses too, DUH!!! stupid me. So would an air pocket in the cooling system cause this, because we did flush and drain and fill the radiator.
I checked both hoses and they are getting pretty warm, not hot but toasty warm. I put more antifreeze in because after driving for a little while yesterday it seemed like it went down a little(not leaking). Now its blowing warmer but still not like it should.
