Nissan Sentra Problems:
My sister has a 2000 nissan sentra that has been acting up like crazy lately. Here's basically what's happening:
She was on her way to work, when all of the sudden she said she lost power and was forced to pull over. I go meet her where she was, and drove it home how it was. There was barely enough power to make it up to 40.
We took it to a shop where they said it was the cat. convertor and the o2 sensor, they replaced both and the car still ran like crap.
We tried to figure it out on our own, and we replaced the alternator belt (Worn) Fuel Pump, and Fuel Pressure Regulator. When we were looking at it, we found if you crimp the fuel return line to build up some pressure, the car runs and idles fine, but left normal the car idles really rough and will eventually just quit.
It sounds like its getting starved of gas, but I'm at a loss. I talked to one of my friends and he said it could be the EGR valve or a Vacuum Sensor, but no codes came up on a code reader.

If he's willing to help thats cool, but I don't have $$$ to throw around anymore, Little Tire just f'd my dad over $700 and it still runs bad. We just need to fix it the right way, sell it, and move on to something new.

^^^Idk, it ran just as bad with the new cat as it did with the old. I think it some kind of computer problem now, I thought it was a fuel issue at first, but everything there is new now.
before replacing the egr do a fuel pump/fuel injector/vacum test . kit cost 10 from harbor freight(off of military highway). should have around 30-40 psi pressure . take less then 5 min to test and your know if its a fuel/injector/ vacumm problem. any less pressure u havea problem.
