Default new tranny?

i thinking of getting a new tranny vise getting mine rebuilt(shops are asking like 800-1200 for a rebuilt). question is are all LS 90-01 tranny interchangeable? cause i found a 98' tranny pretty cheap but don't know if i can put it in my teg?

90-93 tranny's are cable trannys and 94+ trannys are hydraulic trannys, they're not interchangeable.

what year is yours, im trying to get rid of a 93 LS tranny...

also 90-91 cable trannies are different than 92-93 trannies...different size splines and internals...

damn i forgot about the hydro trannies. does anyone know about how much a new tranny will run?
