Negative effects of gutting cat?
Will i get any CELs, backfiring, or other negative problems if i gut my cat? The car is a 98 civic EX (D16Y8). thanks!

Mines gutted and boy does it backfire its ass off. 
No unnecessary smoke or smell... my car is supposed to sound raspy under WOT anyways.

am i wrong, or is that one in the manifold? 
i know we have several customers that come in and shit a brick when we give them a replacement cost on that converter..... 
not to mention that it is a 10k dollar fine if you get caught.....
