need help tial diaphragm

Re: need help tial diaphragm
i went through this on my tials a while back. Best to just get a rebuild kit from tial directly or buy a new one or used one locally. expect to go through more.
i went through 2 of them on my kat. i even placed filters inline on the 2nd one. cost me 2 stock ka motors too when they went. started creeping boost when the diaphram gets a pinhole in it.
i then switched to a hks 40mm and never had a problem again

Re: need help tial diaphragm
the bottom of it was out of the lip and was getting smashed everytime it closed.
also there is a worn area in from the piston part hitting the base. funny thing is i really didn't get boost creep, it would just surge past 20psi, and it made boost fine but never really made the power that it should at 15+ psi (this is on a 1.8t with a t3/t04e 60trim 48a/r).
