cv joint!!!!

Unhappy cv joint!!!!

i have a cracked cv boot on my 1997 honda civic lx. it is cracked all the way round by the looks of it. I really dont know if I have to replace the whole axle or can i gt away with replacin just the boot. i cant rember where i heard that u should just replace the boot. but if anyone knows anything about this please help me out!

i will fix the axle for you for 45$

you have to buy the axle before you get here tho.

i have all tools necessary

my luck never fail to not be present! instead of the non-abs one i recived the abs axle and it tore up my hub and bearings!! so now if anyone can help please help! im told i need a new hub and bearings, they quated me for $360 for just the huib and bearings... and $200 for the axle. and later will need a new exhaust! please if anyone has anyparts up for sell ... (front passanger hub and bearing assembly) please let me know!!!!!

I dont see how the ABS axle would have done that but, I can get you an axle and bearing for $100. The hub Id have to do some diggin for.

Yea I couldnt find anything on the hub. I guess you might be dealer bound on that, unless you go used. But I can have the axle and hub by tomorrow for you if you need it.

I can't see how it tore up your hub, unless the abs teeth of that axle was rubbing on you hub this whole time. That's the only thing I can think of that would cause it. Bearings and hub should cost about $90-$100. The axle should be about $50 I'm thinking so I don't know who quoted you for $360. Look somewhere else for those parts.
