i cant find where a hose goes off the back of the engine i took it off and forgot where it went because i was trying to put a different intake manifold on it we have all the other vaccum lines in place the car starts but puts out white smoke tht smells like coolant the hose is 11/32 oz

White smoke out of the tailpipe? If so, you have bigger issues than a missing hose...

its not oil its coolant could smell it i jus need to no where this one hose goes to c if thts the problem cause i remember taking it off i just dnt remeber were it goes

but like he said...if you have white smoke coming out of tailpipe yoyu most likely have a blown head gasket or a butchered intake install..

we have already gotten a new head gasket havent put it on yet but the guy at advance said something about compression which doesnt make sense cause we werent even close to starting it so if so i dnt no how the head would b blown the intake is good though new gasket n everything

why install a intake gasket if you plan on doing a head gasket???

and if you swapped intakes look at the old intake and see if the new intake has one less hose than the old...that would explain why you cant find where it goes..

thts the thing we replace the gasket cause we where changing out the intake manifolds but after we had torn it apart we relized the intake wouldnt work cause we needed a diff fuel rail it is a y8 intake manifold do u need vtec to use it lol

the reason i asked because the guy at advance was telling us we could have screwed up the compression cause of the intake manifold being off of a y8 n we didnt change out the ecu the car has a stock ecu n it tht didnt make sense either
