need help d series ppl
i bougt a z6 motor with a y8 head on it and i heard that you can not us the 92-95 distributer cuz it will not fit...well i drilled the top adjustment bolt hole on the distributer out and made it fit and fully adjustable. ok, under a load the car misses real bad untill about 3 grand and then it runs fine untill i give it full throttle (that part sounds like a tps problem) but everyhtign else sounds liek a ignitoin problem. its not the cap, coil, msd, wires, or plugs, or rotor button. the only thing i can think of thats left is the distributer not working with this head or my p28 ecu is messed up. also at cold start the car idles rapidly like it has a bad tps but runs fine when driving it but if i adjust the tps to make the rapid effect stop it idles up real high and i cant drive it at all. For real if anyone has any ideas on what the missfiring and all could be let me know if you have ever run into this before so i know what i need to get! thank you

im using the 92-95 distributer i had to fabricate it to fit but it works..and my car is wrecked right now so i cant drive it anywhere thanks tho think i should just take it to the honda dealership and just say "fix it!" i really cant think of anyhtign else to do

damn soory about the wrecked car. you must have plenty of money if you are having the honda dealer fix it!!!

thats cool man i really apprecieate it but honestly i dont think the car would make it on the interstate to portsmouth and i have to get the body fixed first so i can drive it period. its missing pretty bad and noone around here knows what is wrong with it trust me honda is the last resort. thanks tho

buy the correct distributor to match up with the cam i would assume. the cam is from a y8 head, so it will match up w/ a y8 distr. why not just get a used one off ebay or by looking around instead of dealing w/ the headache of getting the obd1 distr. to work?
