i had something similar happen when i put in fuel injector cleaner... when you try and start it up does it make any noises? or does it just turn and turn and turn? your distributor might be going bad...quite common on D series.......

pull a spark plug tower. stick a screwdriver in there and hover the bare part of the screwdriver over the valve cover very close to it but not quite touching. have someone try to turn over the car. you should see a spark jumping teh gap from the screwdriver to the valve cover. if not, good chances your dizzy is shot. if there is spark. crank the motor over a few more times and pull all the plugs. see if they are wet to make sure you are getting fuel to all cylinders...
