Ok, broke my driveshaft tonite. It came all the way out of the transmission and all my gear oil drained out. My question is, when I get another one, do I just slide it in or do I have to get a whole new tranny. I haven't got under the car yet, so I don't know what it looks like. I'm just trying to get a head start.

slides in. unless obiviously the driveshaft failed as a result of a transmission failure.
New tailshaft seals are avaliable at pepboys too.

I had my driveshaft in and out probibly 7 times in the process of doing my swap and getting the lenght right.

 

finding a s14 5speed driveshaft is a bitch and a half.

 

Did you ever get those tranny bolts that were missing back in?

 

Ok, it didn't break...I just somehow came unbolted and fell out...so I'll snag some bolts and new seals tomorrow...

And yes ricky, I fixed that problem...

Oh, and some asian guy is flying in from New York to "look" at it this week...great timing...
