Default my teggy i think is done.

well i was driving home in my 96 teggy. i was going the speed limit. and all the sudden, only a couple of blocks away from my house. the damn car for some reason starts to decelerate by it self, so then i down shift it to third, and push the gas and it boggs really bad. i never heard it before. and then i down shift to second then press the gas again, does some more bogging. then i pull over thinking it might not cut off. then as soon as i stop it shuts off. then i give a minute. try to start it. just turn turn turn no starting up. i jumped it with my other car that didnt work. so i dont think the alternatier went bad. so if u guys, n girls have any comments about this. please feel free to do so. and please dont say shit like pos or anything.

I had a similar problem with my toyota pickup, the timing chain had broke. your problem sounds very similar, especially the part about it just turning over and not starting.

In this case if your timing belt did indeed break, I hope that cranking it over or just allowing the engine to rotate while the belt was broken didn't damage any valves.

+1 for the Dizzy cap and rotor. Also check your spark plugs and wires. Just had to do that in my Sonoma

my nissan truck is doing the same thing, i have replaced the cap, rotor, distributor, and fuel filter. Still hasnt fixed it . If you timing belt broke, i second ProbeGT-ZE because i have worked on a car where the person tried to start there car several times when there timing belt broke. They ended up ping almost all there valves
