my starter is throwing out sparks !!
ok so im almost done with rebuiding my SR and i go to hook up the battery to my car to try and crank it over and my starter kicks on as soon as i hook the battery on, the plug is on and the wire with the hoop is connected to the upper post..........when i connected it to the bottom post sparks flew out of the side.i herd the bottom post is not used, but i forgot. so i reconnected it to the top post. wtf is wrong ?
p.s. when i mean the starter comes on, it just spins, it doesn't extend and try to crank the motor over

The sparks are most likely from the starter barely engaging the teeth in the flywheel and grinding them. Grab a factory manual and take a look, starter wiring isn't rocket science.
wel im just gonna take it out and see what its doing, my fuel pump is coming on when its suppose to so that tells me the ignition switch is working properly.
You connected 2 different posts? I dont know what your solenoid looks like, but if the wires are right, the solenoid could be sticking, give it a good tap and see if that dont fix your problem.
