what do i need all i have is the head so far....do i need new pistons???

The rods on the USDM 1.5's were weak as hell. A lot of people had problems with that. If you decide to go this route I have a JDM d15b block, I'd let you take for cheap. The d15b was the JDM version of the d16Z6. Main thing though is it had stronger rods than the USDM 1.5's

you dont need new pistons. the rods however are weak on the d15 motors.
you will need a way to activate vtec. such as a p28 ecu and have it wired. the correct timing belt, and a head gasket.
