it's going to give you headaches, trust me. the engine won't last very long, and every other engine you put it it will have one problem or another. parts get expensive for it (well, more expensive compared to a Honda).

It was at the local Shell, So i didnt get a good chance to check things over, What i am trying to do is get a first car. Just learn on it, with a permit, Then when i recieve my licence i will actually know a few things about the car i will be starting out on. Ive always liked 240's, I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon of drifting ya know. It is the stock KA of course. Which is a reliable engine, But for 350 bucks when he bought it? It must have close to 200k on it. I saw a KA at U WRENCH IT 4 months ago. I'm guessing they recieve them sometimes. They have cheap engines too. We'll see what happens, Thank you for your opinion.

And By the way, I see just minor upgrades to a 240 with the stock KA running for 3k. I guess i'll just have to drive around in the parents car if things dont work out. Save up till im 17ish and buy a decent car.

Some KA's will take anything you can dish it and brush it off, and others will blow for seemingly no reason. But Carters right, Unless you pay alot for a newer engine(in which case youll need everything to go from a single cam to a dual including a whole new wiring harness, ecu, etc.)most motors you get will have a problem or two. But if you must get it...What kind of work is he going to do to it, whats already done, give some info on the car.

I wouldnt recommend a 240 as a starter car. Like the other said some can last a long time and some are just POS's. Id def check for rust and such also. And remember if u want to do more with the car later Id recommend getting a 240 with a straight body. Its just a waste IMO. Also becareful with RWD in the rain. I cant stress this enough.
