guess you didnt know, a spool valve is the proper term used for it, it is not vtec solenoid..Ive been building hondas for some time now, I think i would atleast know that little detail.

not for sure if its the same with a gsr, but there is a small harness on the pass. side under the dash, w/ 2 prongs, take a paper clip, push both ends, and it will reset. this was for my ls, but i couldnt figure out why the light came on, but apparently it comes on every 3k, whether i changed the oil or not,lol.

It wont reset, its flash what code its throwing. & that work only for OBD1 & OBD2a honda's unfortunatly. In order to see & clear the codes for OBD2b you need a scan tool.
