ls vtec?

Exclamation ls vtec?

Got a question, i might get a ls block to put on my gsr head with ctr cams, i know the rod and stroke ratio is different so i cant rev to 8200 liek usual, what do i have to do the ls block so i can rev to like 8700 - 9000 safely??

arp rod bolts, new bearings, pistons and rods and i would get a type R oil pump

-Rod Bolts
-Rods
-Head studs
-Crankshaft bearings
-GSR oil pump
-Type R or aftermarket Springs/Retainers


The rpm range you're talking about gets expensive quick. You'd be better off getting a lightened flywheel, head studs, rod bolts/bearings and forgetting about the rods and springs...

But that's just my $.02

well i have the type r valvetrain, i was told i need to get the crank balanced?? is the trpe r oil pump better??

The type R oil pump has the same part # as the GSR.

Getting your crank balanced would be much easier on your engine, that's a good idea...

so all that other stuff, and getting the crank balalnced, where can i get it balanced and how long will that take??

8200 really isnt much. forget the bullshit this is really all you need

b series VTEC oil pump
ARP rod bolts
shotpeen the rods and do new rings/bearings while it's apart
and get it all balanced. get a vtec water pump too

well i already have a gsr motor, so i should b ok with most of the stuff, but with ctr cams they make more power up top
