LS swap questionS
Here is the what you need... B Series Shift Linkage. You have to get a 99-00 Civic SI driver side engine bracket (2 pronged) and a 99-00 Civic SI Rear Tranny Bracket and you will need the lower engine bracket the holds the A/C Compressor in Place, so that your engine will not move up....when shifting, also need to get a manual ecu OBD2a Integra LS, to get rid of CEL Codes, need to extend some wires and plugs. Also you can use any B series axles, but you need the intermediate shaft for the axles(GSR, LS and Del-Sol DOHC VTEC)you are using......If you have more questions pm me....done this swap many times...
just need the bracket to hold the engine in place, this keeps it from moving up and down......make sure it is a b series bracket.....but if you want to retain AC, you have to use a 94-97 Del Sol DOHC VTEC bracket to retain AC, so it will fit the compressor on your car....basically utilizing your stock ac comp.....
i was trying to get the drivers side motor mount off and it wont come off?? do i have to take the crank shaft pully off and then the timing cover(s) off to get it off??? i kno i have alot of question but i havent ever done a swap b4..plu sim jus trying to get all the necessary parts off and on b4 the swap so no time is wasted
i can use my dseries harness right? just have to modify it for the IAC right??? i need a site to go to that has done this swap b4....ive been lookign and cant find one....its all fucking crx's and shit....
What you can do is find where the bolts are on the bracket on the block and then find a dremel and drill holes in the position of the bolts on the belt cover and then loosen, that is one way of doing it ORRR you can take the crank pulley off and then take the belt cover off to get to it. One other thing that you might want to check, there is a little sensor on the crank itself(near the pulley), make sure that the sensor on the ls is the same plug as the harness, because some plugs are 3 pronged and some are 2 pronged...YES you can use you d series harness, just lengthen the wires and most plug and play....
