LS swap questionS
well this is what im gettin so far 96 automatic motor comes with ECU and harness so i gotta get a clutch and flywheel and tranny, linkages, and mounts...is that all i need????
theres only 2 front axles.......and the intermediate shaft is basically an extension of the drive side axle that goes into the tranny and also connects to the driver side axle, it mounts to the back of the block and is needed to use ls/b series axles/and to do this swap, i seriously dont think you should be doing this swap if you have never heard of or seen an intermediate shaft, but i commend you for searching and trying to get your research done, and also for your willingness to work on your car, i was in the same spot a couple years ago when i couldnt afford to have someone fix my car and now i do all my own shit........if you can do this swap, youll be on your way, and make sure you install your clutch correctly as well, dont want to fuck that up, but its relatively simple........
you shouldn't have any problems at all. It should be complete plug and play. The wiring harness will actually lay exactly where the sensors and shit are. I have a 91 CRX si, and I had no problem at all. It just dropped right on. And the transmission problem will be easy- just swap ECUs. The ecu with your y8 won't work with your LS anyway. DOHC remember? You should do a little more reasure. I think www.hondaswap.com has a lot of info. Also ...try www.google.com
thank you....can i use any b series axles or do i have to use just ls axles? im gettina ls tranny and i didnt know if u need ls axles to but yea ne wayz....thankx for the info ppeps
so this si rear mount?? is that a motor mount or a tranny mount???
