Not right away. Springs ride better on stock shocks then coil overs do. I have stock shocks on my 96 and they are fine with my 2.5 inch drop...I'm not worried about getting new ones until i can afford it and these go bad
Its really up to you. Those are actually new..2100 isn't much milage at all.

It really depends on how much stiffer the aftermarket springs are over your stock springs. If they are significantly stiffer, then yes, you will need aftermarket shocks that can dampen that high of a spring rate.

hey man, the stiffness of the spring doesnt really have anything to do with wether you need new shocks or not. Its how much the springs lowers the car. And even if it lowers the car a lot your stock shocks will work for a little while. Then they pretty much stop working and you car starts bouncing. Depends on how good the shocks are from factory. I have a friend with a '00 jetta he bought some springs that say you can use stock shocks with them. It didnt lower the car too much but with big rims and tires the thing looks damn good.
Point of this is, you can use stock shocks no problem but they will stop working sooner or later and you will need new shocks, but that may be 1, 2 maybe 6 month or more before your shocks go bad (depends on quality of stock shocks). Even if they do go bad, you can still ride around with them, I do!! ofcourse I just ordered new shocks, they're on the mail

imo, always get new struts when installing springs. its better for ride quality, durability, and performance...and i personally dont want to rip everything back apart to put new struts in when i just had it apart for the springs.

I put the Eibach Sportline kit on my 94 cx. Still using the stock shocks. Been driving on it for a year and they are fine. Put about 10k miles on it since the swap.
If you have the cash upgrade both. But if not, just do the springs. You can always upgrade the shocks at a later date.
Just my two cents.

so what if there's more potential energy??
CX's are BEASTSSSSS!!!
I got a '92 its pretty fast with the b18c, but the stock 70hp engine was unbeatable when it came to gas mileage!!
