Default looking for some dsm help

i was thinking about taking my power steering pump off and getting an electric one off a mr2. i'm doing this for extra room up front and a little more power. so far i have found out they are supplied with 10-11 volts at idle to 30mph and it turns down to 3-4 volts at speeds over 30. i would control it with my ems. i've already found some pumps for like $40, just looking for some thoughts or suggestions
