Get a small pair of wire cutters and you'll be fine. I cut off a few thousand zip ties a year for roughly 10 years with the same method. You can buy a lot of zip ties for the cost of one worthwhile zip tie replacement device of a different type.

A razor works good for me, never had a problem make sure it is not dull

You apparently haven't cut off enough zip ties to know why that isn't a good idea. Someday you'll find out. Then you'll make the necessary repairs and won't use a razor anymore.

yea like cutting/knicking wires, vacuum lines and other things usually supported by zip ties. haha
