light ticking while idling whistling while accelerating whats wrong
98 mitusbishi eclipse GS 46k miles 5 speed. bought it a month ago now it whistles whenever i step on gas and there is a slight whistle/tick when just idling not sure which one it is switches between the two. changing oil tomorow along with spark plugs. any input to problem?

Could be one of ur belts....Eclipses are known for doin that.... i used to have a RS that did it real bad but i sold it and now i have a eclipse GSX... dont do it... but i also have a diffrent motor.... also do u have a intake? the whistle may be commin from that...?

no mods done to car. always kinda ticks/whistles at idle whether clutch in or out(very hard to hear i have to park next to a high curb or a wall to really hear it. gets noticably louder when acclerating.
