KA24 Questions. Need a bit of help/info.

mmkay so I'm rebuilding it to original specs with a few goodies just to have something to drive while i'm saving for a swap.
Head's shaved .010", got a brand new header, 2.5" cat-back exhaust (need a muffler...not a big can but want something that sounds good.) cleaned the sleeve's/pistons got that going good, head's being cleaned up cam's cleaned...next is port/polish...later thiw week...then i got a new battery, plugs and wires, timing chain kit...and that's all I'ma do with the KA24E.
Once it's running I want to pop out some dents, maybe some new lights around it, DEFINITELY coilovers cuz damn it's wobbly and high, and hubcaps gotta go. oh and tint...maybe. that's about it.
...just brainstorming here...what do ya'll think?

Glad to see you sticking with the E, it is NOT a bad motor, parts are muthafuckin everywhere for em, and worst case scenario you blow it, a new engine costs at most $100. Dont expect to blow anyone off the road with bolt-ons, but its definitely alot of fun.
i know the compression in the sohc is higher than the dohc right?
oh yea for the brown wire trick.. heres a video tutorial hahaha..... crap i can't find it
well you just pull out your headlight moving button
snip the brown wire
put back
push it in
turn on your lights
turn off your lights
then you continuously push the button off then on to lower it to your liking

Thanks man, last night I did some research on the single cam and decided to keep it. Might as well work with what I got, and I like to be a little different. I had already made up my mind not to do the SR swap. I mean nothing against anybody with an SR swap it's nice as hell but if I have to spend that much money I'll work with what I got. I was impressed by some SOHC videos and numbers I saw.
Yeah I bought the car from my friend and the head was already shaved. I think it may have warped...and I see small marks on the two inside pistons where the valves hit them (nothing bit, won't affect running) I guess it broke a timing chain or something?
I went and got some pre-lube this morning and rebuilt the head, got everything cleaned up ready to go, all I need to do is pick up the head gasket tomorrow morning and it'll be time to put it all back together, add oil, and hopefully try to start it maybe later this week.
