Is that the timing retard system? Alot of rotary live by it, the ones that have it love it. Detonation is the bane of rotaries ya' know.

It's also the knock sensor of choice for most Subaru RS-T owners. I will definitely install one when it comes time to mount a hairdryer under my hood.

I took my hair dryer out. It kept shuting off when ever it got too hot. ..But if I let it sit awhile it comes back on.
