Yes, you need an air filter.

They suck to tune. Plenum volume for vacuum reference becomes a big issue.

The powerband is more peaky because you lose any intake plenum resonance.

Heatsoak is an issue too because you have to draw air from the engine bay. That is, unless you get a plenum box and duct the air from somewhere else. Then you lose the cool "hey look at me" aspects of ITBs because you can't see them anymore.

Well I wouldnt use them on a daily driver. I dont have a partial throttle, only accelerate and decelerate.

Yea I went with individual filters to try to keep the look. Although it is a shame to cover up the carbon fiber air horns.

You need better tuning, or better engine management, or a better throttle body setup if you don't have partial throttle.

Haha yea, after enough beers we decided to put a motor/tranny swap in by hand (no hoist). The screwdriver was "hurry up and shove it in" lol

Ditto, mine isn't fully broken in yet. However, I still have partial throttle.

Or maybe you need a K with ITBs

Crome Pro can tune your car just as well as the other two you listed.. I still stand by my original statement.
