Default iacv

ok i have a 96 civic ex with a d16y8. it has a cheap obx intake mani on it, was givin to me me so i said f*** it and put it on. it doesnt have the spot to bolt on the iacv. the car has the idle surge, and i imagine thats what is causing it. is there any way to bypass that and make the car idle smooth with out the surge or having the iacv on the intake. its my gfs dd and if i have to ill put the stock intake on but id rather just leave it and fix the idle if i can. any suggestions?

There isn't any good way to fix that, no. If there was there wouldn't be a need to use an IACV in the first place.

Do some research, that manifold might be for a different year or something, with a different IACV type or location. If it's a Y8, and a daily driver, keep the stock manifold on there. You're not really gaining anything by just changing manifolds. I don't touch OBX products with a 10 foot pole, so I really can't say what the solution is for your manifold, but I can say that you want to use an IACV unless you want the idle to change every time the weather or temperature changes.
