He didnt dog the brand new build...

The motor he dogged was the first one he took in to get tuned. Obviously thats what you do after you get a motor that was already broken in tuned.

Right as he dogged it. It blew.

So he turned back to Brauning and Paid them about 6K to build his motor, etc. And now it runs like shit. He is just tryin to get taken care of.

 

The way that car looked i woulda just took my 6k and bought a new 1, no offense but damn, you coulda bought a boosted eg for that.. Your are the guy with the non painted bodykit on the accord??

I heard from a mutual friend that the engine bay harness and plugs was a rats nest, some where even hardwired not saying its true or false i have no idea and that is 2nd hand info..

But honestly from being around thier for the last couple years i can't believe they would'nt try to help you out..

What did they tell you??

Were they not willing to fix it??

What are the details behind it all??

I just have a hard time believing that they can't get a decent tune to atleast run right on a motor with all the cars they tune daily.. I've personally seen them tune imports and domestics with no problems including mine over 400hp.. I did see 1 kid get tuned and go down the street on a hurt stock motor and blow it up..

I HONESTLY THINK ITS SOMETHING ELSE BESIDES THE TUNE IF THAT THING WENT ON THE DYNO.. Just take it to a reputable shop like inline if thier at fault handle it the way you think is best..

Hopefully you do get it fixed and running great 6k is way to much to spend on a motor and install..

 

You do know he is not the only person that has had a bad tune from Mark right? Mark tuned my car and during the 20min drive to my house the engine blew. There are a few more that has had their motors blow after he tuned it.

 

Yeah i understand that but every shop has that happen because shit happens.. Not every motor is in shape to be boosted to begin with and the tuner can't always be blamed, in some cases it may be thier fault but its far to many variables involved to try to pinpoint the reason..

Do you think every car that has been tuned and leaves, but blows up after boosting for the 1st time on the setup, should be blamed on the tuner??..

I bet the good far outweighs the bad..

He is'nt the greatest tuner, he may not even be good, but he is compentent enough to make a car run right on a breakin if the wideband was hooked up..

I just watched him tune 2 cars saturday both customers we're very pleased you don't just forget how to tune from setup to setup..

Maybe he messed up both of your cars dunno just my opinion..

I know all those trophys that have been won dating back to the mid 90's having the fastest all motor car on the east coast back when 12's was screaming and the 2004 nopi all motor championship don't come from people who don't know what thier doing..

Not trying to defend them but those are facts and thier credentials are a hellva lot better then most..

 

Well I know 2 other local guys and myself that has had their motors blow after getting a tune from him. My motor was in perfect shape. It was running fine before I went in for a tune. Left there 30mins later with the car driving horrible, it was bucking, missing, and had a serious lack of power. It blew a few miles from my house. This same thing happened to 2 other guys I know. All same story car ran fine, then after he tuned it boom. You can't possibly tell me it was not him. After I rebuilt the motor car still ran like shit until Jon retuned. Like I said before unless you are real cool with him like you are, he doesn't give 2sh*t's about the customers car.

 

let me tell you, john is a fucking beast when it comes to tuning. he did my ca18det, and he will do my 4age in the rolla here soon too.

Yeah thats who I plan on letting tune my motor after all the repairs are made. Hopefully I should be in the 400hp range by next weekend . Keep ya fingers crossed .
