Default Honda B16a and t3/t4 Turbo help

I just bought a 1990 CRX with a stock B16a and a T3/T4 garrett turbo that I haven't put on yet. I have a few questions:

How high should I boost it for a daily driver and a weekend track car?
What size wastegate should I get?
What size injectors should I get?
I was told it has the crome ecu program. What do need to program the ecu?

Thanx

Mindless is an unknown quantity at this point

1. Psi doesn't break shit power does. Decide what your hp goals are.
2. Most run 38mm wastegates for a "street/strip" setup
3. Injectors depend on your power goal
4. Crome is not in the ecu it is software used to code the eprom chips placed in a chipped ecu. An ecu is simply chipped....it is not a crome ecu.

Thank you for understanding that. Most people don't realize that the tuning software doesn't actually live inside the ECU.

If you want to keep the engine stock, that will more or less set the practical limit on how much power you can safely produce.

I am keeping it stock internals... I was hoping for close to 300hp but i'm not sure how much the internals can handle as a daily driver.

I have 425whp on my daily driven jdmb16a. Drive it 70miles a day, with no issues. The wastegate size depends on the turbomanifold/turbo setup. But since you have a T3/T4 you can use a 38mm wastegate. I was using 550cc injectors when I was running 290whp. It's up to you, but I'd get a S300 for engine managment.

Thanx ZeroMR. How much boost were you running at 290whp and y the s300 ems? As far as how crome is in the ecu I don't really care, i'd like to know how to tune it and what i need. Not tryin to be a smartass.

I was on 12psi when I had 290hp. I chose the s300 because a lot of tuners don't like tuning on crome. Also at the track if you have to change the rev limiter or check your data log using crome would have been a pain to use.

i think you need to find out more info about your turbo other than the flange type. Here's a good thread to reference:

brandon.beene can only hope to improve

b16 are good turbo motors, they can take a beating. If you wanted it as a DD i would just keep it around 300whp. Still fast enough to have some fun at the truck but at the same time be reliable for the street and not have to worry about changing shit out.
i would stick with 550cc injectors, or get you a set of DSM blue tops for real cheap and go with that. Deffinatly run the s300.
