Default high and rough loopy idle

when i start the car, it idles high. Im talking 5k. What causes this? How can i fix it? Then after its warmed up it idles fine for a little bit then acts as if its missing. It jerks a little bit like its looping. It has new plugs and wires. HELP!! It even cuts off during idle sometimes but drives great

the idle. It acts as if its missing. Also idles low too when it warms up a good while. It has even cut off on me at a light. Sometimes I have to throw it in neutral when Im at a light or stop sign.

No, I'm asking because I have absolutely no idea what looping means. I've never heard that before.

is your throttle getting physically stuck open? Is this a stock throttle body? Is the throttle cable too tight? Also do you have a fast idle valve under the throttle body?

nah its not getting stuck open. Yes, its stock. its a stock z6. Nope, the cable is fine. Ive even loosened it to where it can easily be taken off. Yes, theres a fitv. i just read up on that. Im changing the IACV and FITV today and will come back with results.
