Any one else get a gas smell? i checked and re-seald the seal for the fuel pump.. it looked a lil ruff took care of that, what else could be wrong? still have some of that gas smell coming in.. and no its not Ex smell.. its raw gas.

better hurry and get that fixed, its wasting gas.

 

Check to see if the fuel rail is tight? And check to see if the o-rings for the injectors are pinched/torn/worn.

 

maybe a bad generator... yeah check to make sure lines,rail, injectors are all tighten down and sealed properly.

 

Yea that stuffs all good.. its coming from the gas tank/rear seat area.. and the trunk.. under the hood their is no gas smell..

still gets almost 40mpg hwy lol.. with a b16 swap.. 32 round town.. so im not worried about it spilling.. its not wet any where.. thats whats fucking me up.. if it was a leak i would see it..

 

Maybe a leak in the fuel line near the tank? I would get it fixed or at least looked at. Wouldnt want to be driving down the interstate and have you back seat go up in flames.

 

Did you overfill the gas tank? How long has it been doing it?

 

nah not an over fill.. it has been doing it for about a year.. or thats from what i can think back to.. i have had the car two years.. it sat a good year befor i swaped and starting driving it..

 

the generator's brand new.. but i had to use, used glow plugs.. that might be why.. geezz

 

keep spraying it, it'll blow up soon enough anyways then it'll be time to start over
