i just put some dc headers on my 99 prelude and there are weird noises coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. i checked the headers, no leak. it sounds like something is rubbing and it sounds like the CAI is sucking in a hell of a lot of air. it only makes noises when i drive. when i sit and rev, just the normal CAI sound.

 

Like a shhhhhhhhhhhhhh sound??? My boy's car did the same thing. I think it's just sucking in more air due to the fact more exhaust is getting let out??? and the intake has to compensate air for that? Correct me if im wrong.

 

Is the header rubbing anywhere? Did you bolt it to the support that holds it in place, before it bolts up to the cat? Did you tighten the header to the cat tight enough? These are my couple of ideas.
