Default header installation

hey i got some 4-2-1 headers for my car exept they came with no instructions and 2 of the same gaskets.i would like to konw what gaskets i will need to install them.

right now i have the gasket that connect the 4 to the 2.so will i need to buy the manifold gasket with the for holes? and wil i need an exhast pipe flange gasket.please let me konw how to do this i want them in pretty bad.

You can either re-use your old gaskets, should be a metal one, or buy a new one if you want, and you should also be about to reuse your donut gasket, if is fits over the header at the flange. If not, take you header to and exhaust shop and have them match a donut gasket that will fit.

if there is any rust, hit the nuts on the studs with some pb blaster and let it soak for a good half hour. proceed removing all nuts and the bolts on the downpipe. is there an o2 bung at the top of the header? if so, remove any or all o2 sensors prior to reinstallation. reverse process is the same.

ok well its a 93 what are the chaces of me stripping or braking any bolts?

you probabbly will break some bolts. just be as careful as you can and hope karma is on your side today

very very high, i have a 2000 civic ex and when we did my header and exhaust, we rung 2 bolts.. and we pb blasted everything
had to break out the torch and then we ran to sears and got a set of sockets that grabs hold of rung bolts and that worked nicely

probably gonna be rough bro, all three of my catalytic converter studs broke off even with a good PB soaking. I have an 89 ef sedan btw
