My friends put the head back on to torque specs. Now the problem is the car started but oil was leaking everywhere but mostly through the exhaust. Though maybe the headgasket was on backwards. Checked that and its on right. Any other suggestions? Car was not leaking oil like that before putting it back together.

I haven't heard it but when the car was started it was making a very loud high whistling sound coming from the intake manifold. I don't want to start it up again to hear it.

no you cant reuse the gasket. sounds like you have a leaky intake gasket too
