Default hatch back and sedan exhaust the same?

is the 88-91 hatchback exhaust the same as the 88-91 sedan exhaust?

No sir it isn't. The sedan exhaust is about 4-6 inches longer.

maybe the axle back section is the same length but the midpipe will definitly not be equivalent.

so if i buy a hatch cat back exhaust and cut it and weld a extention in it should still work for the axle back?

Axle backs are going to be the same. You can just get the mid pipe cut or extended, whatever exhaust your buying. Your local exhaust shop could hook you up for probably 50 bucks to get that done.
