Default halfshaft tranny seal

i replaced my axle seal for the halfshaft that goes into tranny cuz it was leaking and now the new one is leaking worse than the old seal ......PLEASE HELP

check the seal to make sure you didnt damage it when you put it in.

you might have a side differential bearing problem.

or

you put the seal in too far, not enough, or the wrong seal.

i don't know about hondas but on my se-r transaxle the axle seal has to be PERFECTLy installed or it will leak horribly. make sure it is pressed in perfectly straight. a little bit of an angle or anything will keep it from working. a trick i use is to use rtv silicone sealant around the outside of the seal. its actually slippery when wet so it lubes it for the install and insures the outer edge of the seal wont ever leak once it drys. if the seal is improperly seated it could still leak from the inner edge though.
