i busted my tranny at the track trying to launch....i want to know will a stock tranny w/ lsd say a gsr or type r be good or will i bust it up like i did my non lsd b16 tranny...any help is appreciated..btw it is a turbo car

 

What busted?

If I was to guess, I'd say the diff grenaded. OEM diff's suck...Buy a Quaife!

 

I blew out my OEM diff. with just putting in a lighter flywheel.

i dont know what i did to the tranny all i know is that i can put it in gear and i can push the car like it is in neutral and i can still select gears

 

sell me the junk tranny....

 

once you have the tranny out. take it apart and see whats going on. then you can work from there.

 

if its the diff. how hard is it to fix would it be something i could do myself or would have 2 be taken to a shop to fix

 

So having less rotational inertia blew your diff? Somehow I doubt that. Don't blame it on the flywheel, blame it on something else, like maybe an overly aggressive clutch.

 

sounds like you need to learn how to drive, i have been 10.999@126.28 mph on 415whp with a STOCK gsr trans and advance auto parts axles. and didnt break anything.

 

^like he said sounds like you need to practice your launching!! i know to many ppl that have gone in the 11s and 12s and lower with stock diff . lsd is always a good thing tho ............ almost sounds like your slector in the tranny broke witch is a easy fix and cheap if your diff. blew then you would have noticed a pile of fluid under your car more than likely
