allright my buds got a 91 accord lx with a h23a1 and its getting no spark. When he got rid of the car it was running the guy that bought it said he was driving it home and it just shut of on him. SO this guy goes out and gets a dizzy for a h22. Now i no the h22 is not a plug in play so does any one no how to make it work on h23. The old dizzy we still got but the dumbass couldnt put it back togather and i dont realy mess with h series motors does anyone got any ideas the cars got fuel, though the wiring harness i beleive caome from the stock f22 if any one can help. So we have the stock h23 dizzy a jdm h22 internal coil dizzy and like 4 diff dizzy caps, and nothing works, i also replaced the main relay and the battery if anyone has an idea of whats wrong, the help would be greatly appreciated.

 

get an oem h23a1 dizzy, and start tracing wires, you know how to use a volt meter? get a wiring diagram and figure out where you have power and where you dont. its not difficult, it just takes a little time.

 

Try changing the coil and or the ignitor if you happen to have a spare to see if that is the problem. Most of the time other than the wiring if you do not have spark (for me at least) the coil or ignitor died. Does the 91 have an external coil or is in inside of the distributor? I cannot remember.
