Re: where to get ceramic coating done
If you're going to mail it, here is my short list in order of my opinion of quality (lowest to greatest):
Thermal Tech (and other local-ish places like them)
Jet Hot
HPC
Swain Tech
I'm probably forgetting someone else too..
Oh, and Zircotec if they were in this country.
Any of those companies will work fine for a naturally aspirated manifold, and you'll probably get the best prices at Thermal Tech.

I take this to mean that there aren't any ceramic coating places in Fredricksburg and that you should send it off.

So who do you recommend for a turbo manifold?
On a couple of our drag cars, we've had great success with Thermo Tech's coating on BRAND NEW turbo manifolds and turbo housings.
I've never had coatings stick to used parts correctly.

Re: where to get ceramic coating done
Thermo Tech? What kind of coating is that?
Ceramic coating is all in the prep, and any decent company should do whatever is necessary to properly clean, blast, whatever needs to be done to get a good surface. This assumes that they're professionally applied coatings, like Swain Tech, HPC, etc. I don't really think you can do a proper ceramic coating like that, and that's probably why you're having durability problems. The really good coatings are usually applied with a plasma stream, which is much more durable and better bonding than any water born or solvent born coating. Water born or solvent born coatings have their place though, for coating lower temp parts and things like sheet metal and plastics/composites.
