i think you have to cut the firewall depends on how the shifter box is mounted...above or below the "hump"

when i did the h swap on my sol i tried everything but in the end i found out that i had to take the dash out and drill a hole in the firewall basically in line with the shifter and then route em out through the hole. so the cables stay right under the radio and out the fire wall.... pm me if u have any more questions. good luck bro

wow, you are doing things way to hard. Just finished swapping a h22 in a 95 integra. Drill the holes large enough to fit the end links on the cables and had no problems. In a del sol I can picture you taking out the pieces around the shifter but not the whole dash.

i hear there is a company that makes a nice bracket to mount the shifter box to that is actually bolted in under the car and makes the trim able to fit over the box to make it look stock any1 have any idea about this i seen it on a k20 swap not too long ago.......and i hear they make em for the h22 swaps also...

dude i have done like 15 H series swaps.. beleive me i tried everything else, taking the dash out was the last resort. but u have to take all that out so that u can get in there with the drill, unless u want to pull the motor back out and drill from the engine bay.. which i felt it would just b easier to take the dash out.
