h22 throttle body problem
Car is 93 Prelude, stock h22a1. I removed the throttle body to gain access to my heater core. I didn't remove any of the coolant or vacuum lines, only unplugged the sensor (TPS, I believe) When I put the car back together, I now have a high pitched whistling sound and the idle is screwed up (rev to 2.2k and then back down on it's own like a bad IAC does) The whistling wasn't there when before I removed the TB and it idled fine as well. Did unplugging the TPS reset something?
did you put the tb gasket back on, and tighten the TB. also if its the stock gasket that was on it i would reccomend replacing it cause its old and im pretty sure thats what it is
Well theres only one vacuum line from it that goes to the MAP sensor and thats still hooked up. Going to get a new TB gasket and will try again
edit - gasket ordered, won't be here until tomorrow. I found out the whistling noise I'm hearing is coming from the fast idler valve. When I plug the hole inside the throttle body the noise goes away although the idle doesn't get any better.
