if anyone knows the proper step to honing a h22 closed deck block could you let me know.
also what local machine shops are in the area that people use, i am in 22408 and i dont mind driving for good work! im gonna need the rotating assembly mic'd and balanced possibly assembled

 

Very few machine shops will hone FRM liners, in fact I have not came across one that will do it to this day. You can resleeve on ductile liners and then bore it to the mm you like and then hone., but I dont believe you will find any machine shop capable to do it to a stock h22 liner.

 

the stock liner can in fact be honed bit it takes a certain procedure...a buddy of mine informed me of a shop yesterday that can do it! they have done h22's many times

Tommy, Try not to look on here for real technical info just call the # rich give you he will be able to answer all your ?. Get a real answer from somebody that dose it all day every day. And if rich didnt give you the # call me at shop I will get it for you.

yea they answered my ?'s they also said they can do the honing as they have done them before, i also found the procedure for honing is in the helms manual. yea and let me know on the cams send me a pm on that!
