ummm set it to your desired boost and thats it. their really isnt any "hints or tips" on setting boost. the only thing i can say is its unfortunate you bought it. i've had NOTHING but problems with all the greddy electronics i've owned. 2 gauges that shit out on me, a turbo timer that fried itself, and the aformentionded boost controller that decided to just not hold boost and eventually became worthless. i would def invest in the warranty

trust worthy was it the boost control valve that went bad?
