Re: front studs.
remove caliper, remove rotor, smack 'em with a hammer hard as fuck until they knock out. to install new OE studs you may have to grind part of the backside of the stud down for it to clear the knuckle part itself that holds the wheel bearing. (and i dont know what you were thinking if you thought you had to pull the cv axle out)

oh, uninstall the control arm (unbolt upper ball joint, lower ball joint, and tie rod end), turn over the hub assembly and the best thing to do it clamp it down in a vice and put a stiff leg or something under the arm that comes out to bolt the tie rod into and get a socket that just barely fits inside the bearing and smack the socket with a hammer until just the knuckle pops out with the bearing in place. usually the race comes out with the knuckle but dont worry about it, when you press (yeah you will need a press) the knuckle back in it'll all line up straight.

Re: front studs.
cool, if you dont use a press to reinstall the knuckles just be real careful. oh and sometimes before you reinstall the hub after you've put the knuckles in the wheel bearings will feel like they are bad, but when you smack the axle nut down with an impact it'll tighten everything back up and it'll be straight.
