FPR no good?
Hey, I have a fuel pressure guage on my car, and it reads from 18 to 25 psi, I heard on a MPFI it should read 35-40psi, could this be because my fuel pressure regulator is no good? When i try to start it it kinda sounds like it's gonna start but doesn't, you can hear the combustion, but it just does not start. How can I tell if my fuel pressure regulator is good or bad?

if your car is running a stock fuel pump you should be reading 30-40 psi of fuel pressure at idle, under load it will go higher, your fuel pump could be going bad, dirty fuel filter, or like you said, possibly a fuel pressure regulator, it takes 5 seconds to replace it and you can prolly pick one up real cheap at a junkyard or something..........
