flooded integra-NEED HELP!!!
So i was driving my car last night and i came to a flooded strip of road only like 10 feet long, well i didnt realize how deep it was and i drove through it, my car shut off and it would start back up, everytime i would turn the ignition a horrible clicking sound happened.. i do have the V2 cold air and i know it probably sucked the water up through there..if anyone knows "if" there is a way to fix it so it will run again i would greatly appreciate the feedback, im in a shit situation. thanks
it depends on how fast you were going. I went through a 2.5 foot puddle in my civic... luckily i saw it and let off the throdle, but didnt have enough time to shut the car off. I just bent a valve... the second time i went through a puddle i was going 45, and it bent a rod in the 1st cylinder. theres a chance you might have not bent a rod, but its slim. I would start looking for a new engine if I were you.
and the lesson for today? cold air intakes without the bypass are signing your engine's death warrant.
